“As we are familiar with the turkey for Thanksgiving and the goose for Christmas dinner, for Chinese New Year a large fish is served and eaten for good luck. I have decorated this fish as it would be at an elaborate feast before serving.”

“Kept Sheep”

I derived the concept and name of this stuffie from the Christmas carol “The First Noel,” in which it is said that the shepherds were all “keeping their sheep.” I imagined that the sheep must rather enjoy being kept…in style. So, I dressed this one up with beads and doll accessories and gave her large earrings and high heels. I hope you get as much of a kick out of her as I do.
