Although I have dabbled with various art media over the last 55 years,
my quilting obsession began in 1988. Technical proficiency enabled me
to produce four quilt patterns for the national retail market in the
mid-90's. I offered local custom quilt design services for several
years until I realized I wasn't working on my own projects.
In 2008 I teamed with fiber artist Kathy Harte of Harte Design Studios
to explore fiber art techniques and surface design studies. We were
featured fiber artists in two First Friday Art events in Anchorage in
2008 and are presently working toward our third show scheduled for July
2009.
My primary goal is the creative process itself. It feeds my soul. It is
my passion. My mid-range goal is learning new fiber art and mixed media
techniques as they apply to producing Art Quilts. My long-range goal is
to be self-supportive financially via my artwork.
