Capture Summer in Silk
In the upcoming issue of Quilting Arts Magazine, on sale October 2, fiber artist Helen Appleby shows how she captures petals and leaves in layers of silk, tulle, voile, and muslin, bonding the layers with fusible web, and decorating the squares with embroidery and bits of trim and beads. The squares can then be assembled as a wall hanging or a book to keep the memory of your garden forever.

Do You Hear the Buzz?
Many of your favorite fiber artists joined Patricia Bolton last week to shoot episodes of the upcoming "Quilting Arts TV" show that taped in Cleveland. The Internet was buzzing as Lesley Riley, Frances Holliday Alford, Judy Coates Perez, Pam Rubert, and others blogged about their experiences.
