"Creative Quilting: The Journal Quilt Project" is a compendium of more than 400 quilts, each 8 1/2" x 11", culled from the nearly 6,000 QuiltPages made by 918 artists who have participated in The Journal Quilt Project over five years. The Project—A Page From My Book, displayed each year at International Quilt Festival in Houston and Chicago—was started in 2002 by Festival Director Karey Patterson Bresenhan, organizer and curator of the annual exhibit.

Each quilt shown here represents a page in a quilter’s life story, chronicling joy, frustration, tragedy, inspiration, mundane moments, artistic epiphany—and every event and emotion in between.
